Huge triangle craft' reported hovering low over Missouri town

Selon le témoignage rapporté au Mutual UFO Network (MUFON - base de données des rapports de témoins), trois témoins du Missouri ont rapporté leur observation près de Parkville “d‘un énorme engin triangulaire, stationnaire au-dessus des arbres” à proximité de la route 235 et de l’autoroute 45, juste après minuit, le 2 octobre 2012.

Le témoin principal, sa petite amie et son père se déplaçaient vers le sud le long de Interstate 435 et se rapproche de l’autoroute 45, en direction du « Kansas Speedway » à Kansas City, lorsque l’objet a été repéré.

“Nous avons remarqué un objet énorme avec de très grandes et brillantes lumières blanches très bas au-dessus de la cime des arbres vers l’est”, a déclaré le témoin.

Le témoin a indiqué la localisation de l’objet.

“L’objet était à environ 300 pieds au-dessus de la cime des arbres et à environ un quart de mile de l’autoroute. Nous avons d’abord pensé que c’était un grand avion, volant très bas. Nous avons ensuite remarqué qu’il ne bougeait pas. L’objet était simplement sur place, en vol stationnaire. Absolument aucun mouvement.”

Le témoin a alors réagit en décélérant.

“Je conduisais et il n’y avait aucune circulation sur l’autoroute. J’ai ralenti jusqu’à la vitesse de 40mph (65km/h) et j’ai remarqué qu’il était haut comme environ deux étages, à peu près 300-400 yards (274 -365 mètres) de large et il avait 4 grandes lumières blanches. Elles étaient très brillantes, totalement immobiles, et situées à l’avant de l’engin.”

Le témoin a décrit l’objet en détail

“Nous pouvions distinguer les contours de l’objet, qui se détachait sur le fond, plus clair, du ciel nocturne. C’était une grosse forme triangulaire, avec de petites lumières rouges clignotantes, sur le côté droit de l’objet. Celui-ci avait une très grande baie vitrée, aussi haute que l’appareil, sur le côté droit”.

“L’objet était de couleur gris métal. Pendant de courtes périodes, le dessous de l’engin réfléchissait une source lumineuse provenant du sol et de nature inconnue. Elle permettait d’apercevoir des détails sur ce triangle et de se rendre compte de sa hauteur. Le dessous avait une forme très légèrement bombée. Toutes les arêtes que nous avons pu voir étaient lisses et arrondies. Il n’y avait pas de bords vifs”

Le témoin a ensuite perdu de vue l’objet tout en ayant tenté de le localiser à nouveau – mais sans succès.

Three Missouri witnesses at Parkville report watching a "huge triangle craft seen hovering above the tree line" near S. 435 and 45 Highway shortly after midnight on October 2, 2012, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The reporting witness, his girlfriend and father, were traveling southbound along I-435 and approaching 45 Highway heading toward the Kansas Speedway area in Kansas City, KS, when the object was first noticed.

"We noticed a huge object with very large, bright, white lights very low above the treeline off to the east," the reporting witness stated.

The witness described the object's location.

"The object was approximately 300 feet above the tree line and approximately a quarter-mile off the highway. We first thought it was an extremely large plane flying very low. We then noticed it was not moving. The object was just hovering in place. No movement at all."

The witness reacted by slowing down.

"I was driving and there was no other traffic on the section of highway. I slowed the vehicle down to about 40 mph and noticed it was about two stories tall, approximately 300-400 yards wide and had four large, very bright, very large stationary white lights on the front of the craft."

The witness described the object in detail.

"We could see the object outline against the lighter night sky. It was a huge triangle shape with small red and white lights blinking down the right side of the object. The object also appeared to have a very large window on the right side as high as the craft.

"The object was a gun metal gray in color and the bottom of the craft reflected light from an unknown ground source for a brief moment showing the detail of the triangle shape and the height of the craft. The bottom had a very slight dome shape to it. All the edges we could see were smooth and rounded. There were no sharp edges to the object."

The witnesses lost sight of the object and made several attempts to locate it again - but without success.

No images or videos were included with the MUFON report, which was filed on October 3, 2012. The witness provided a sketch of the object observed. The above quotes were edited for clarity. Parkville is in Platte County, MO, population 4,059.

Missouri is a current UFO ALERT 4 rating, with a higher than average number of UFO sightings nationally. Missouri had 15 reports in September 2012 - the 16th highest reporting state while California had 69 reports - the highest reporting state in the nation.

Parkville, MO, October 2, 2012 - Huge triangle craft seen hoovering about the tree line by S 435 & 45 hwy going towards the Kansas Speedway. MUFON Case 42992.

ON 10-02-2012 AT APPROXIMATELY 0010 HOURS MY GIRLFRIEND, MY FATHER AND I WERE DRIVING SOUTH ON INTERSTATE 435 APPROACHING 45 HIGHWAY HEADING TOWARDS THE KANSAS SPEEDWAY AREA IN KANSAS CITY KANSAS. WE NOTICED A HUGE OBJECT WITH VERY LARGE BRIGHT WHITE LIGHTS VERY LOW ABOVE THE TREELINE OFF TO THE EAST.

THE OBJECT WAS APPROXIMATLEY 300 FEET ABOVE THE TREELINE AND APROXIMATELY 1/4 MILE OFF THE HIGHWAY. WE FIRST THOUGHT IT WAS AND EXTREMELY LARGE PLANE FLYING VERY LOW. WE THEN NOTICED IT WAS NOT MOVING THE OBJECT WAS JUST HOOVERING IN PLACE NO MOVEMENT AT ALL.

I WAS DRIVING AND THERE WAS NO OTHER TRAFFIC ON THE SECTION OF HIGHWAY. I SLOWED THE VEHICLE DOWN TO ABOUT 40 MILES PER HOUR AND NOTICED IT WAS ABOUT TWO STORIES TALL, APPROXIMATELY 300-400 YARDS WIDE AND HAD 4 LARGE VERY BRIGHT VERY LARGE STATIONARY WHITE LIGHTS ON THE FRONT OF THE CRAFT.

WE COULD SEE THE OBJECT OUTLINE AGAINST THE LIGHTER NIGHT SKY. IT WAS A HUGE TRIANGLE SHAPE WITH SMALL RED AND WHITE LIGHTS BLINKING DOWN THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE OBJECT. THE OBJECT ALSO APPEARED TO HAVE A VERY LARGE WINDOW ON THE RIGHT SIDE AS HIGH AS THE CRAFT.

THE OBJECT WAS A GUN METAL GREY IN COLOR AND THE BOTTOM OF THE CRAFT REFLECTED LIGHT FROM A UNKNOWN GROUND SOURCE FOR A BREIF MOMENT SHOWING THE DETAIL OF THE TRIANGLE SHAPE AND THE HIGHT OF THE CRAFT. THE BOTTOM HAD A VERY SLIGHT DOME SHAPE TO IT, ALL THE EDGES WE COULD SEE WERE SMOOTH AND ROUNDED. THERE WERE NO SHARP EDGES TO THE OBJECT.

WE HAD TROUBLE BELIEVING WHAT WE WERE OBSERVING AT THIS TIME. WE WERE TRYING TO COME TO SOME RATIONAL EXPLANATION, THERE WAS NONE, IT WAS A UNKNOWN CRAFT THAT WE HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE.

WE DROVE PAST THE OBJECT OBSERVING IT FOR A FEW MINUTES AND LOST SIGHT OF IT DUE TO THE TREELINE AND THE CRUVE IN THE ROAD. I DROVE TO THE NEXT EXIT ON SOUTH 435 AND HEADED BACK NORTH ON 435 RETURNING TO THE LAST PLACE WE OBSERVED THE OBJECT. THERE WERE NO SIGNS OF THE CRAFT IT JUST DISAPPEARED. IT ONLY TOOK US A COUPLE MINUTES TO TURN AROUND TO RETURN TO THE LOCATION WE OBSERVED THE CRAFT.

WE THEN EXITED OFF 435 TO HEAD BACK SOUTH AND WE PARKED ON THE OVERPASS TRYING TO RELOCATE THE OBJECT. IT WAS GONE. WE DID OBSERVE A AIRCRAFT FLYING OVER THE AREA AND IT WAS PRETTY HIGH IN THE SKY AND TRAVELING EAST.

WE ALL SAT IN AMAZEMENT TRYING TO COME TO A UNDERSTAND IN WHAT WE SAW. IT WAS NOTHING NONE OF US HAVE VERY SEEN. MY DAD SERVED 20 YEARS IN THE MILITARY AND I AM IN LAW ENFORCEMENT IN THE KANSAS CITY, MO AREA. WE DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS OR WHO MADE IT BUT IT WAS EXTREMELY LARGE AND JUST HOOVERING THERE LIKE IT COULD CARE LESS IF ANYONE OR ANYTHING COULD SEE IT.
